§ 24-8-821. Admissions in Pleadings

Without offering the same in evidence, either party may avail himself or herself of allegations or admissions made in the pleadings of the other.

Former Code Section 24-3-30, which contained comparable provisions to this Code section, as effective January 1, 2013, was derived from the decisions in Wood v. Isom, 68 Ga. 417 (1882) and East Tenn., V. & Ga. Ry. v. Kane, 92 Ga. 187 , 18 S.E. 18 (1893).
