This Code section became effective July 1, 2021.

Pursuant to Code Section 28-9-5, in 2021, “July 1, 2022” was substituted for “one year following the effective date of this Code section” at the end of the third sentence of subsection (d).

Ga. L. 2021, p. 567, § 1/HB 255, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall be known and may be cited as the ‘Sexual Assault Reform Act of 2021.”’
