1Note.—Section 13, ch. 2022-265, provides that “[e]xcept as otherwise expressly provided in this act and except for this section, which shall take effect upon this act becoming a law, this act shall take effect upon the expiration of the terms of the representatives to the United States House of Representatives serving on the date that this act becomes a law.” Chapter 2022-265 became law on April 22, 2022. United States Constitution, amend. XX, s. 1, provides that the terms of representatives shall end at noon on the 3rd day of January every second year.
