For the purposes of this chapter, the term:
(1) "Commission" means the Commission on Poverty established pursuant to § 3-641.02.
(2) "Poverty" means, in reference to an individual, someone living with an annual household income of less than or equal to the income levels published in the most recent poverty guidelines issued by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
(3) "Poverty-reduction plan" means a comprehensive strategic plan for the reduction of poverty in the District issued by the Commission pursuant to § 3-641.06.

Section 7192 of D.C. Law 24-45 repealed section 301 of D.C. Law 23-184 removing the applicability provision impacting this section. Therefore the creation of this section by Law 23-184 has been implemented.

Applicability of D.C. Law 23-184: § 301 of D.C. Law 23-184 provided that the creation of this section by § 101 of D.C. Law 23-184 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.
