Section 10-507. - Smart start competitive capital grant account. Smart start competitive operating grant account.

(a) There is established an account to be known as the “smart start competitive capital grant account” which shall be a capital projects fund. The account shall contain the amounts authorized by the State Bond Commission in accordance with section 10-508 and any other moneys required by law to be deposited in the account. Moneys in the account shall be expended by the Office of Early Childhood for the purposes of the Connecticut Smart Start competitive grant program established pursuant to section 10-506.

(b) There is established an account to be known as the “smart start competitive operating grant account” which shall be a separate, nonlapsing account within the General Fund. The account shall contain moneys required by law to be deposited in the account. Moneys in the account shall be expended by the Office of Early Childhood for the purposes of the Connecticut Smart Start competitive grant program established pursuant to section 10-506.
