[ Editor's note: This version of this section is effective until March 1, 2022. ] Any person who willfully assaults, resists, prevents, impedes, or interferes with the director or any officer, deputy, agent, or employee of the division or any of its agencies in the performance of duties pursuant to this article is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
