(2) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (2) is effective March 1, 2022. ] Any person, firm, or corporation, or any agent, manager, superintendent, or foreman of any firm or corporation, who, by himself or herself or through an agent, subagent, foreman, superintendent, or manager, knowingly violates or knowingly fails to comply with any of the provisions of this article 12 is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars for each offense. Upon conviction of a second or subsequent offense, such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.
