In addition to any other civil or criminal penalties, the department of transportation may suspend the nuclear materials transportation permit of any carrier for a period not to exceed six months or revoke the permit for failure to comply with the permit terms, misrepresentation of information in the permit application, failure to pay a civil penalty assessed pursuant to section 42-20-406, or failure to comply with the regulations promulgated pursuant to parts 4 and 5 of this article 20. The permit may be suspended or revoked only for good cause shown after due notice and opportunity for a hearing pursuant to section 24-4-105, if requested by the carrier.
