[ Editor's note: This version of this section is effective until March 1, 2022. ] Any person who in any way conceals the evidence of the killing or wounding of any animal by any railroad train, engine, or cars on any railroad in this state or who in any way destroys or covers up the evidence that may lead to the identification of any animal so killed or injured is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars for each offense, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
