§ 38-29-120. Where to Apply for Certificate of Title

[ Editor's note: This version of this section is effective until March 1, 2022. ] Except as may be otherwise provided by rule of the director, it is unlawful for any person who is a resident of the state to procure a certificate of title to a manufactured home in any county of this state other than the county in which such home is to be used as a residence. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this section or any rule of the director relating thereto, made pursuant to the authority conferred upon him in this article, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than ten days nor more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
