(a) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3)(a) is effective March 1, 2022. ] For a violation committed with criminal negligence or recklessly, as both terms are defined in section 18-1-501, the violator commits a class 2 misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of twenty-five thousand dollars per day for each day the violation occurs.
