It is unlawful for any employer to permit any person who works in food preparation and is affected with any contagious or infectious disease that is spread by food to work, or for any person so affected to work, in any capacity in which there is a likelihood that the employee would contaminate food or food-contact surfaces with pathogenic organisms or transmit disease to other persons.
