§ 24-37.5-119. Broadband Service - Report - Broadband Deployment Board - Broadband Administrative Fund - Creation - Rules - Legislative Declaration - Definitions - Repeal





















(I) At least one member from the commission; one member from the Colorado office of economic development and international trade in the office of the governor; one member from the department of local affairs, created in section 24-1-125; and one member from the office, as appointed by the governor. The governor shall select three of these four appointees to serve as voting members of the board.
(II) Three voting members representing local entities:
(A) One of whom is a county commissioner, as appointed by the president of the senate in consultation with Colorado Counties, Inc.;
(B) One of whom is a mayor or city councilperson, as appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives in consultation with the Colorado Municipal League; and











































































































































(A) Is encouraged to award grant money to applicants that applied for grants under subsection (9) of this section in the previous five years, met all of the award criteria set forth in subsection (9) of this section but were denied grants due to the insufficiency of grant money available at the time of application, and, as determined by the board, continue to meet all of the award criteria set forth in subsection (9) of this section; and
(B) May also award grant money to new grant applications received.

(2) Section 11 of chapter 489 (HB 21-1109), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act adding this section applies to applications filed on or after July 7, 2021.
