§ 22-60.5-302. Professional Principal Licensees - Master Certification

The department of education may, in its discretion, issue a master certificate to any applicant who holds a valid professional principal license and who meets the criteria for master certification as specified by rule and regulation of the state board of education. Master certification shall recognize those professional principal licensees who are involved in ongoing professional development and training and who have advanced competencies or expertise or who have demonstrated outstanding achievements. Any master certificate issued pursuant to this section shall be valid for the period of time for which the applicant's professional principal license is valid and is renewable at its expiration.
