(3) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3) is effective March 1, 2022. ] Any person who violates the provisions of this section commits a class 2 misdemeanor. However, in lieu of the fine provided in section 18-1.3-501, the court may impose a fine of not less than one thousand dollars or more than one hundred thousand dollars.
