§ 18-4-511. Littering of Public or Private Property - Repeal









(4) (a) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (4)(a) is effective March 1, 2022. ] Except as otherwise provided in subsection (4)(b)(I) of this section and sections 33-15-108 (2) and 42-4-1406, littering is a civil infraction punishable, upon conviction, notwithstanding the provisions of section 18-1.3-503, by a mandatory fine of not less than twenty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars upon a first conviction, by a mandatory fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than one thousand dollars upon a second conviction, and by a mandatory fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars upon a third or subsequent conviction.
