Section 6053.

6053. Whenever in an investigation or proceeding provided for or authorized by this chapter, the mental or physical condition of the licensee of the State Bar is a material issue, the board or the committee having jurisdiction may order the licensee to be examined by one or more physicians or psychiatrists designated by it. The reports of such persons shall be made available to the licensee and the State Bar and may be received in evidence in such investigation or proceeding.
