(2) After September 2, 1963, in every county having a board of county commissioners, or when a board of county commissioners is established in any county, the county clerk shall assign a position number to each office on the board of county commissioners. The number so assigned shall be certified by the county clerk to the commissioner in office holding that position. One copy of the certification shall be sent to the Secretary of State, and one copy shall be filed in the office of the county clerk. [1963 c.329 ยง1]
