The state game commission may designate trained employees of the commission vested with police powers to enforce the provisions of Section 30-8-4 NMSA 1978. In addition, members of the state police, county sheriffs and their deputies, police officers and those employees of the state park and recreation commission [state parks division of the energy, minerals, and natural resources department] vested with police powers shall enforce the provisions of that section.

Bracketed material. — The bracketed material was inserted by the compiler and is not part of the law. Laws 1977, ch. 254, § 4, abolished the parks and recreation commission. Section 3 of that act established the natural resources department, consisting of several divisions, including the state park and recreation division, which was created by § 11 of the act. Laws 1987, ch. 234 repealed the provisions relating to the natural resources department and created the energy, minerals, and natural resources department, including the state parks division. See 9-5A-3 and 9-5A-6.1 NMSA 1978.
