Meaning of "crime" in Detoxification Act. — The Criminal Code makes it clear that the prohibition in the Detoxification Act (Section 43-2-16 NMSA 1978) against charging an individual held in protective custody with any "crime" includes misdemeanors and petty misdemeanors. 1973 Op.
